Playtime!

Logan had a really busy sunday. It started with a visit from Nana! Logan and my mother played ball and Logan was able to catch (sometimes). Logan also colored with chalk on the driveway for the first time. It ended with him eating the chalk (I wonder if one color tasted better than another). He also had a ton of fun playing on the slide.

Then came pool time! It was his first time in a pool (or bath as he liked to call it). He refused to sit down, but enjoyed splashing and throwing the ball and had a great time.

Logan loves "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and now asks for it a lot. He even does the start of the hand motions of going up. Its quite a fun song to repeat and repeat and repeat...

What a Fun Weekend!

For Shabbos lunch, we had our friends Josh Lipowsky, the Carmans and their 1.5 year old son. At one point, their son Eli was playing with Logan's toys. Logan got upset, walked over to Joey, pointed at Eli and said "No, no, no, no no!" I was laughing pretty hard! I never knew he had trouble sharing because he has to share so much at daycare!

Shabbos afternoon, he was eating cheerios out of a snack trap. He fed me one and then tried to feed me more, but I wasn't in the mood so I closed my mouth. Logan proceeded to show me how to eat a cheerio by placing it near his open mouth. Then he put it in mine. I'm a quick learner!

Sunday we had a birthday party for our friend's son who just turned 1! We also had a lot of funny playing in the backyard.

Logan was able to climb onto the bench and pet the cat (when she stuck around).

Where is the baby?

Yesterday, I asked Logan "Where is the baby?" He lifted up my shirt, pointed to my belly button and said "Here baby!" His first full sentence!

Recent Events

I was in Iceland for a week and Logan was home with his Daddy. Poor Logan missed me a lot and was SO excited when I got back. He was all smiles!

Logan is getting in molars and is in pain. Saturday night he woke up and I asked him what was wrong. He pointed to his mouth to let me know his teeth hurt. He is really communicating well!

Time to Continue This Blog!

Between fall holidays, a long work emergency (October-December), geting pregnant and a whole slew of other things, this blog has fallen by the wayside. Its time to restart!

Logan is getting really big. He took his first steps before his first birthday and because a full time walker at 13 months. At 14 months we took him for shoes and now at 15 months he loves to run and chase the cat.

He also is talking up a storm! His first word was "kitty cat" at 1 year. He now says a whole slew of things including mommy, daddy, bath, balloon, ball, kitty cat, dog, uh oh, shoes and many more.

He also has a great sense of humor - after being scolded twice not to stick his finger in his nose, he put his finger next to his nose and started laughing hysterically. I think he inherited his father's sense of humor!

08/15/08 - Shabbos with the Herman Clan

The Herman clan came for Shabbos and we had loads of fun! On Sunday, Nana, Zaidy, Oma and Opa came for a visit and we celebrated lots of anniversaries!

Logan loves playing outdoors. Here he is attempting to sit up in the grass! He cant quite manage this trick yet, so he grabbed onto the grass for dear life! He does love being outdoors though!

08/06/08 - He takes after his Daddy

Logan got a baby laptop as a present and he loves it. Of course, its one of those obnoxious baby toys that has annoying sounds

that everyone but the baby hates, but it keeps Logan entertained! When the real laptop is nearby, he tries to play on that, but we keep giving him his own.

08/03/08 - Here we sit like birds in the wilderness, waiting for our food

This is Logan's first time sitting in the Stokke Tripp Trapp (our new high chair) to eat! The chair has no tray and can sit right up at the table. He waited so patiently for his meal!

08/01/08 - Happy Six Month Birthday!!

Logan turned 6 months and we had a birthday party for him. We all (Nana, Zaidy, us parents and Logan) wore transformer birthday hats and we sang. Then Logan had his first solids. He got rice cereal and he scarfed it down like he had been eating solids all his life! His first tooth popped today also!

Logan already has an affinity for reading. He made it through Harry Potter 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 and is now starting to work his way through 7. Down with Voldemort!

Logan wore us both out and while playing we collapsed on the rug and took a nap! We both woke up happy and Logan gave me one of his best smiles!
